Component Coding

What is Component coding?

Modern cars are packed full of technology, and when certain parts or components are replaced, they often need to programmed to the car in order to function correctly. This coding process requires specific tools, skills and experience that only a main dealers and certain independent specialists have access to.

If you’ve recently replaced a component (even a headlight on some cars) and it’s not functioning correctly, it could be that the new part needs to be coded to the car. We’re constantly updating our software to make sure we keep up with manufacturers as new standards and restrictions come into place.

Depending on the component being coded, you may also require an ADAS calibration afterwards to make sure the car is fully functioning. We’ll be able to advice you on the best steps and if a calibration is required, we can also carry this out for you.

We can code for a wide range of makes and models, so if you are having trouble or have any questions, please just let us know.
