ADAS Calibration

What is ADAS?

Many modern vehicle are produced with ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), this is a term used to describe the following safety features which are brought together to automate and enhance vehicle safety by alerting the driver of any potential collisions or problems.

• Adaptive cruise control
• Autonomous emergency braking
• Adaptive headlights
• Lane departure warning
• Blind spot awareness
• Traffic sign recognition
• Rear view cameras

Why and when does ADAS need calibration?

ADAS systems rely on a combination of sensors and cameras to work, so following any kind of minor or major accident damage these items could have been knocked/ damaged , which intern can have a major impact on the functionality of an ADAS feature.

We recommend a fresh ADAS calibration being carried out after any of the following events.

• Four wheel alignment
• Replacement windscreens
• Minor/major collision
• Any abnormal damage (vandalism)
